How we save grains:
1. Brewery…brews!
We collect grains after the “mashing” stage of brewing, when brewers soak malted grains (like barely, wheat, and oats) in hot water to extract sugars for fermentation. All the liquid is drained, and what’s left is spent grain!
2. Pedal-powered pickup
We haul the grains from the brewery by bike to our commercial kitchen—zero emissions, baby!
3. Chill & store
Grains are refrigerated or frozen until they’re ready to become granola.
Nutritious, delicious, and eco-friendly? That’s enough to get me shakin’!
